Alexander Brindley lives in Adairville, Kentucky, a small town just north of Nashville, Tennessee. Having spent extensive time living and working in Europe, his work has been greatly influenced old master methods. With a love for the natural world and historic architecture, his work includes a diverse array of landscape and architectural subjects, from those in his native surroundings in Kentucky and Tennessee to those done abroad. Drawing influence from 19th century Romantic era artists such as Caspar David Friedrich and John Constable, Brindley has taken great interest in and researched 19th century methods, materials and techniques, all of which have become a key aspect of his working method. While always pursuing his artistic endeavors, the artist also has a love for historic preservation and is currently restoring two 19th century homes along with his wife in Adairville.
